Letters and methods of writing a Letter Letter is a typed or hand written form of message, sent to a recipient through post or mail. Not so long before, letter used to be a source of communication between to people and such conversational letters are called informal letters. But in today’s world such letters r no longer used due to increased use of technology. The art of writing a letter today is assumed as a skill, as not everyone can write letters perfectly. In today’s world letters only exist in formal form which is only written for business or studying purposes. Informal letters : such letters are sent personally to someone like relatives or friends. These letters do not follow any kind of pattern nor is kept professional. Formal Letters : such letters are written professionally with a certain pattern always followed.
